Baked Chicken Drumsticks

Juicy and flavorful baked chicken drumsticks seasoned with simple spices and roasted until golden and crispy.

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
  4. Add drumsticks and toss until fully coated in seasoning.
  5. Arrange drumsticks on the baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway, until skin is crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the drumsticks for the last 2 minutes.
  • Use smoked paprika for deeper flavor.
  • Marinate chicken overnight for even juicier results.
