BBQ Chicken Pizza

A delicious BBQ chicken pizza topped with smoky barbecue sauce, tender chicken, melty cheese, and red onions for a flavorful twist on classic pizza.

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Lightly oil a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into your desired shape.
  3. Brush the dough lightly with olive oil.
  4. Spread most of the barbecue sauce over the dough, reserving a little for the chicken.
  5. Toss the cooked chicken with the remaining barbecue sauce.
  6. Sprinkle half the mozzarella over the pizza, then add BBQ chicken, red onions, and cheddar cheese.
  7. Top with the remaining mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • Use a smoky or spicy BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
  • Rotisserie chicken works great for quick prep.
  • Add jalapeños or pineapple for variation.
