Beef and Broccoli Noodles

- 8 oz rice noodles or lo mein noodles
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- Sauce:
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup beef broth or water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, beef broth, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pan, then add broccoli. Stir-fry for 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return beef to the pan, then pour in the sauce. Cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Add cooked noodles and toss to coat everything evenly.
- Serve hot, garnishing with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
Notes
- For extra heat, add chili garlic sauce or red pepper flakes.
- Use chicken or tofu for an easy protein swap.
- Thinly slice beef against the grain for maximum tenderness.
