Ingredients

Scale
    • 8 oz rice noodles or lo mein noodles
    • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
    • 2 cups broccoli florets
    • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger

  • Sauce:
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, beef broth, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add remaining oil to the pan, then add broccoli. Stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Return beef to the pan, then pour in the sauce. Cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  7. Add cooked noodles and toss to coat everything evenly.
  8. Serve hot, garnishing with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add chili garlic sauce or red pepper flakes.
  • Use chicken or tofu for an easy protein swap.
  • Thinly slice beef against the grain for maximum tenderness.
