- 1 lb elbow macaroni or small shell pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped dill pickles
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1 cup chopped iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat and let it cool.
- In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to make the dressing.
- Add the cooled pasta, ground beef, cheese, pickles, red onion, lettuce, and cherry tomatoes to the bowl.
- Toss everything together until well coated with the dressing.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for best flavor.
Notes
- Add the lettuce just before serving to maintain crispness.
- Substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter version.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
