- 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley or fresh chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced or wedged
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the baking sheet.
- Brush the fillets with olive oil, then pour melted butter evenly over the top.
- Season with garlic powder, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Add lemon slices on top or around the fillets.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve warm with vegetables, rice, or potatoes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine before baking.
- Use smoked paprika for a deeper, richer taste.
- Great with steamed broccoli or roasted potatoes.
