Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Mayonnaise or your favorite sauce

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally to make 4 thinner cutlets.
  2. Rub chicken with olive oil and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side or until fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/74°C).
  4. Toast the sandwich buns on the pan or grill until golden brown.
  5. Optional: Add cheese slices to chicken during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  6. Assemble sandwiches by spreading mayo or sauce on buns, then layering chicken, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
  7. Serve hot with chips, fries, or a side salad.

Notes

  • Use marinated or breaded chicken for extra flavor or texture.
  • Customize toppings with avocado, bacon, or spicy mayo.
  • Grilled or air-fried chicken works great as well.
