Chocolate Biscuit Bar Slice

A no-bake chocolate biscuit bar slice made with crushed biscuits coated in a rich chocolate mixture, then chilled until firm for an easy and irresistible treat.

Ingredients

  • 300 g plain tea biscuits, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (for topping, optional)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for melting chocolate topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment paper.
  2. Place crushed biscuits in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and milk over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture over the crushed biscuits and mix until evenly coated.
  6. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan.
  7. If adding a chocolate topping, melt chocolate and oil together and spread over the slice.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  9. Cut into bars or squares and serve.

Notes

  • Add chopped nuts or dried fruit for extra texture.
  • Use digestive biscuits or graham crackers as alternatives.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
