Chocolate-Dipped Apple Slices

Chocolate-Dipped Apple Slices are a fun, easy, and healthier treat featuring crisp apple wedges dipped in melted chocolate and topped with your favorite toppings. They’re great for snacks, party platters, or dessert boards.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or your favorite variety)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, sprinkles, crushed pretzels
  • Lemon juice (to prevent browning)

Instructions

  1. Wash and core the apples, then slice into 1/2-inch thick wedges.
  2. Lightly brush apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  4. Dip each apple slice halfway into the melted chocolate and gently shake off excess.
  5. Place dipped slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle immediately with desired toppings.
  6. Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes or until chocolate is set.
  7. Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 1 day.

Notes

  • Use firm, tart apples for the best contrast with the sweet chocolate.
  • Let apples dry thoroughly before dipping to help chocolate adhere.
  • Use dairy-free chocolate for a vegan version.
  • Best enjoyed the day they’re made due to apple oxidation.
