Christmas M&M Sprinkle Cookies

Soft, chewy Christmas cookies loaded with festive M&Ms and holiday sprinkles, perfect for gifting and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Christmas M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Fold in M&Ms and sprinkles.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chilling the dough for 30 minutes helps prevent spreading.
  • Press extra M&Ms on top of the dough balls before baking for a festive look.
  • Use any color sprinkles to customize for other holidays.
