Chunky Salsa

A fresh and vibrant chunky salsa made with tomatoes, onions, peppers, cilantro, and lime—perfect for dipping or topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cumin (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the diced tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the cilantro and garlic.
  3. Stir in the lime juice, salt, pepper, and cumin if using.
  4. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve chilled with chips or as a topping for tacos, meats, or salads.

Notes

  • For extra heat, keep some jalapeño seeds in.
  • Use Roma tomatoes to reduce excess liquid.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored refrigerated for 2–3 days.
