Classic Banana Bread

A moist and tender classic banana bread made with ripe bananas, warm vanilla, and a soft crumb—perfect for breakfast or snacking.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas and melted butter until combined.
  3. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla; stir well.
  4. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.
  5. Gently fold in the flour until just combined—do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
  • Add chocolate chips or nuts for extra texture.
  • Banana bread freezes well for up to 3 months.
