Classic Chocolate Fudge

Classic Chocolate Fudge is a rich, creamy, and indulgent treat made with simple ingredients like chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and butter — perfect for gifting, holidays, or satisfying chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts, sea salt, or mini marshmallows for topping or mixing in

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt.
  3. Stir constantly until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract (and nuts or mix-ins if using).
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  7. Lift fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang and cut into small squares. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
  • Customize with extracts like peppermint or almond for flavor variations.
  • Top with flaky sea salt for a sweet-salty finish.
