- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a casserole dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly mixed.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the crispy topping evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, then serve warm.
