Fudgy Chocolate

Fudgy Chocolate is a rich, dense chocolate dessert with a deep cocoa flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture. Whether in the form of brownies, bars, or fudge, it’s perfect for satisfying intense chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 8 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chopped chocolate, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined—do not overmix.
  6. Fold in additional chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy texture, slightly underbake and let cool completely before cutting.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the richest flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for longer shelf life.
  • Add chopped nuts, espresso powder, or caramel swirls for variation.
