  • 1 package (16 oz) frozen potato and cheese pierogi
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • Optional: sautéed onions or bacon for topping

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add frozen pierogi and cook for 3–5 minutes or until they float to the top. Drain and pat dry.
  3. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the boiled pierogi in a single layer and fry for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot with sour cream on the side and sprinkle with fresh dill.
  7. Top with sautéed onions or crumbled bacon if desired.
