- 2 cups cooked salmon (fresh or canned), flaked
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- 1 tbsp harissa paste
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley or cilantro
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil, for frying
- Optional: Greek yogurt or aioli for serving
- In a large bowl, combine salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, harissa paste, orange zest, orange juice, parsley, green onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form mixture into 6–8 patties and place on a plate. Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes to help them firm up.
- Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- Serve warm with a dollop of Greek yogurt, aioli, or a fresh salad on the side.
