Jalapeño Poppers with Cheese and Bacon

Crispy, spicy, and creamy jalapeño poppers filled with a rich cheese mixture and wrapped in smoky bacon. A perfect appetizer or party snack with bold flavors and satisfying texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half
  • Toothpicks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes using a spoon (wear gloves if needed).
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  5. Wrap each filled jalapeño half with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the poppers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and jalapeños are tender.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bacon for a meatier texture, or thin-cut for crispier results.
  • Add chopped green onions or crumbled sausage to the cheese mix for extra flavor.
  • For extra heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • Air fryer option: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
