- 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 12 slices bacon, cut in half
- Toothpicks (optional)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes using a spoon (wear gloves if needed).
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
- Wrap each filled jalapeño half with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the poppers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and jalapeños are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- Use thick-cut bacon for a meatier texture, or thin-cut for crispier results.
- Add chopped green onions or crumbled sausage to the cheese mix for extra flavor.
- For extra heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
