Juicy Chili-Lime Grilled Chicken Breasts

Tender and flavorful chicken breasts marinated in a zesty chili-lime mixture, then grilled to juicy perfection for a fresh and vibrant main dish.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp lime zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over them. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
  4. Grill chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Remove from heat, let rest for 5 minutes, and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • For extra juiciness, pound chicken breasts to even thickness before marinating.
  • Great served with a side of rice, grilled vegetables, or in tacos.
  • Marinating overnight enhances the flavor even more.
