Peach Chicken Skillet

Peach Chicken Skillet is a sweet and savory one-pan meal featuring tender chicken breasts simmered in a peach-infused sauce. It’s quick, flavorful, and perfect for summer weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 large peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh thyme or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and sear until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 2–3 minutes to combine.
  6. Add peach slices and cook for another 2–3 minutes until slightly softened.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce and peaches over the top. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes to heat through.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme or basil and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor, or substitute with drained canned peaches in a pinch.
  • Pairs well with rice, quinoa, or a side salad.
  • For extra flavor, marinate chicken in a bit of balsamic and honey before cooking.
