Peanut Butter Mousse Cups

Peanut Butter Mousse Cups are creamy, no-bake individual desserts made with a rich peanut butter and cream cheese base folded with whipped cream. Served in cups or jars, they’re smooth, airy, and perfect for an easy yet indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Optional base: 1 cup crushed cookies (e.g., Oreos, graham crackers)
  • Optional toppings: chocolate shavings, chopped peanuts, caramel drizzle

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until smooth and airy.
  5. If using, place a layer of crushed cookies into the bottom of serving cups.
  6. Spoon or pipe the mousse into individual cups or jars.
  7. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  8. Top with desired garnishes before serving.

Notes

  • Use smooth, well-stirred peanut butter for best texture.
  • Homemade whipped cream adds richness, but Cool Whip can be used for convenience.
  • Mousse can be frozen for a firmer, ice cream-like texture.
  • Store covered in the fridge for up to 4 days.
