Peanut Butter Stuffed Brownies

Decadent and fudgy brownies with a rich peanut butter filling swirled in the center, creating the perfect chocolate and peanut butter treat.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth and thick.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Dollop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the batter and gently spread or swirl it across the top.
  7. Top with the remaining brownie batter and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Natural peanut butter can be used for a less sweet filling.
  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a salty-sweet contrast.
  • These brownies can be frozen and enjoyed later—just thaw before serving.
