- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Dollop the peanut butter mixture over the batter and gently spread it into an even layer.
- Top with remaining brownie batter, spreading carefully to cover the peanut butter layer.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
