  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Dollop the peanut butter mixture over the batter and gently spread it into an even layer.
  7. Top with remaining brownie batter, spreading carefully to cover the peanut butter layer.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
