Pumpkin Spice Latte

A cozy and flavorful fall favorite made with espresso, pumpkin puree, warm spices, and milk, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or 12 shots of espresso
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon or nutmeg, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and vanilla.
  2. Add milk and whisk until smooth and heated through, but do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk vigorously or use a milk frother until foamy.
  4. Pour hot coffee or espresso into a mug, then pour the pumpkin milk mixture over it.
  5. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.

Notes

  • Use maple syrup or brown sugar as a natural sweetener alternative.
  • Almond, oat, or soy milk can be used for a dairy-free version.
  • Make a large batch of the pumpkin mixture and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
