Salted Chocolate Drizzled Peanut Butter Cookies

Salted Chocolate Drizzled Peanut Butter Cookies combine tender peanut butter cookies with a dark chocolate drizzle and sea salt for the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (for drizzle)
  • Sea salt flakes (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Scoop dough and roll into balls. Place on the prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or using a double boiler. Drizzle over cooled cookies and sprinkle with sea salt flakes. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Chill dough for 30 minutes before baking to help cookies hold their shape.
  • Use a piping bag or zip-top bag for a neat chocolate drizzle.
  • Chunky peanut butter or natural peanut butter can be used, but texture may vary.
