  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss chopped vegetables with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper, and half the garlic and onion powder. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20–25 minutes, tossing halfway through.
  2. While vegetables roast, heat 1/2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add green beans and sauté for 4–6 minutes, until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
  3. Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and remaining garlic and onion powder.
  4. In the same skillet, heat remaining 1/2 tbsp olive oil over high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
  5. Optional: add soy sauce or Worcestershire to the pan during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor. Stir in red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Return green beans to the skillet with steak and toss to combine. Serve hot with roasted vegetables on the side, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

  • Let steak rest at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before cooking for more even searing.
  • Customize the roasted veggies with your favorites or whatever’s in season.
