  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Stir in tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until well combined. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, and olive oil. Stir into dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in cheese if using.
  5. Spread half the batter into the loaf pan. Add beef filling in an even layer. Top with remaining batter, smoothing the top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the loaf portion comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
