- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar or mozzarella cheese, cubed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Optional: 1 tsp chopped herbs like thyme or rosemary
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Season chopped cooked steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.
- In a bowl, cream butter with egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until dough forms.
- Fold in steak and cheese cubes evenly.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet, pressing slightly. Add extra steak and cheese on top for garnish if desired.
