- 1 1/2 pounds (680g) ground beef
- 1/2 pound (225g) ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 jars (24 oz each) marinara sauce
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, egg, and milk.
- Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Shape into 1.5-inch meatballs (about 24 meatballs).
- Place meatballs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, covering completely.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
- Serve hot over pasta, in subs, or as an appetizer.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear the meatballs in a skillet before adding to the slow cooker.
- You can freeze uncooked meatballs for later use.
- Use your favorite marinara or homemade sauce.
