Slow Cooker Italian Meatballs

These Slow Cooker Italian Meatballs are tender, flavorful, and simmered in a rich tomato sauce for hours. Perfect for pasta dinners, sandwiches, or appetizers.

  • 1 1/2 pounds (680g) ground beef
  • 1/2 pound (225g) ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 jars (24 oz each) marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, egg, and milk.
  2. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  3. Shape into 1.5-inch meatballs (about 24 meatballs).
  4. Place meatballs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, covering completely.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
  7. Serve hot over pasta, in subs, or as an appetizer.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sear the meatballs in a skillet before adding to the slow cooker.
  • You can freeze uncooked meatballs for later use.
  • Use your favorite marinara or homemade sauce.
