Snickers Cupcakes

Rich chocolate cupcakes filled with caramel and peanuts, topped with fluffy peanut butter frosting and drizzled with caramel—just like a Snickers bar in cupcake form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/3 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk
  • Extra caramel sauce for drizzling
  • Additional chopped peanuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  4. Slowly stir in boiling water until fully incorporated. Batter will be thin.
  5. Fill liners 2/3 full and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cupcakes cool completely. Cut a small hole in the center of each cupcake and fill with caramel and chopped peanuts.
  7. For the frosting, beat butter and peanut butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar gradually, then milk until fluffy.
  8. Pipe frosting onto cupcakes.
  9. Drizzle with caramel and sprinkle with additional peanuts before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer filling, mix caramel with a spoonful of peanut butter.
  • Chill cupcakes for 10 minutes after filling to help set the caramel.
  • Use high-quality cocoa powder for deeper chocolate flavor.
