- 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
 
- 1 tbsp olive oil
 
- Salt and pepper to taste
 
- 1 cup Dr Pepper
 
- 1/2 cup ketchup
 
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
 
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
 
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
 
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
 
- 1 tsp garlic powder
 
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
 
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
 
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
 
- Pat the chicken wings dry and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange on the rack in a single layer.
 
- Bake wings for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and golden.
 
- While wings are baking, combine Dr Pepper, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne in a saucepan over medium heat.
 
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened into a sticky glaze.
 
- Once wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the glaze over the wings and toss to coat.
 
- Optional: Return glazed wings to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize further.
